Miracle Recreation Equipment Company’s 2011 Playground Giveaway Winner
Miracle would like to Congratulate Kennedy Elementary from Brockton Massachusetts on winning Miracle Recreations Playground Giveaway!
Essay: The Kennedy School is a K-5 school with a diverse population that houses almost 600 students in an urban setting. Our current playground, which is pictured above, has not been used in over15 years because of safety concerns. Our school is located in a neighborhood where many families would have access to it beyond the school day. The addition of a playground would be vital to our community in supporting the social and physical health of our children. According to an article printed in March of 2009 that was published by the American Journal of Public Health Brockton has the 8th highest obesity prevalence of all communities in Massachusetts. |
