LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, May 27, 2021 — Make An Impact Foundation, the non-profit dedicated to promoting the education and well-being of underserved children nationwide, today unveiled the playground design for Gary Reese Freedom Park in Las Vegas.
The park will feature play equipment from Miracle Recreation, a pioneer in manufacturing thrilling playgrounds for nearly a century. The new playground will feature classic equipment such as swings and slides, and innovative elements like sensory play panels, fitness climbers, as well as a custom helmet climber with a tranquil space underneath.
Make An Impact Foundation partners with organizations to create places where all kids have equal opportunity and ability to play freely without barriers. To make this exciting new play space a reality, Make An Impact Foundation has partnered with KVVU FOX5’s Super Build program, which brings together community partners committed to serving Southern Nevada families. This new playground is made possible through Super Build sponsors, Las Vegas Raiders, Barclays, D&L Roofing, Home Depot Foundation, and Les Olson. The new playground is also made possible by The Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas LIFE, a vehicle for corporate and philanthropic partners to support innovative programs that improve quality of life for all Las Vegas residents with a special focus on vulnerable populations; and the Gene Haas Foundation.
Installation of the new playground will begin immediately and is scheduled for completion next month. A public grand opening celebration will occur at Gary Reese Freedom Park, located at 850 N. Mojave Rd., Las Vegas, NV. Exact date and time to be confirmed.
